Breakfast meeting of AIPNA at CAP23
"GyPSI (Gynecologic Pathology Society of India) was formally launched as a subspecialty society in Kolkata in February 2023 (the backdrop was the BAGP-TMC CME meeting) in February with pathologists including Drs. Radhika Srinivasan (PGIMER), Dr. Sandeep Mathur (AIIMS), Dr. Santosh Menon (TMC), Dr. Divya Midha (TMC), Dr. Bharat Rekhi (TMC)and Dr. Srinivas Mandavilli (Hartford Hospital) forming a core group along with Dr. Raji Ganesan from Birmingham. ISGyP was well represented with their leadership including Dr. Joe Rabban who was there in person, and Drs. Matias-Guiu and Naveena Singh made remarks virtually at the inauguration. It was lovely that the inauguration happened under Dr. Naveena Singh's watch at ISGyP. Dr. Srinivas Mandavilli delivered the keynote address (Update on IHC in Gynecologic Pathology) in the session that included cutting edge lectures by faculty from India, US and Europe. The creation of such a society is a first for India in this subspecialty and opens up numerous opportunities for bilateral collaboration. In the attachments is the GyPSI logo and a video animation of the logo launch at the conference."
AIPNA ICP International Pathology CME 2021 was held on February 4,5 & 6, 2021 atAmrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, Kerala. An International conference with faculty from Universities of California, Philadelphia, Yale, Pittsburgh, Brown, Pennsylvania, Georgia, McMaster and Cleveland Clinic. This was a Poster Sessions - Original Studies/ Case series & Case Reports with cash awards in each category.
This was a first Pathalogy Virtual Conference that was being held in the midst of COVID crisis and complete with Poster Sessions - Original Studies/ Case series & Case Reports.
AIPNA's breakfast session on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 during CAP's annual meeting was a phenomenal success. Our new President, Anil Prasad was the master of ceremonies.
The line up of speakers was spectacular. Rajal Shah spoke eloquently on Intraductal cancer of the prostrate, Mitual Amin talked extensively about spindle cell lesions of the breast and Nirag Jhala gave a lucid presentation on cytopathology of of pancreatic lesions.
The Indian breakfast with chai and samosas was a big draw. Bharati Jhaveri was awarded the "Friend of AIPNA" award.
The function ended with a touching eulogy by Nirag Jhala for our dear departed friend and colleague, "Jasvir Khurana". Many pathologists have contributed to Jasvir’s fellowship fund in an effort to remember Jasvir's support to upcoming pathologists.

The framework of the CME has been as follows:
- Local coordinator in India provides the facilities, organizational network for holding the CME course, printing of the Proceedings and providing local hospitality for the visiting faculty.
- The North American faculty provides their expertise as an honorary gesture and themselves bear all the expenses for presentation and travel to India.
The CME program has been held successfully every year since 1996.
