Second AIPNA Educational Breakfast Session at Annual CAP Meeting in Chicago,

Grand Success Encore!!
The AIPNA meeting at CAP'18 pulled a huge crowd for the Educational Session. APS Billing Company had kindly sponsored the event.
The meeting started with Anil Prasad, AIPNA- CAP Liasion, introducing various current office bearers of CAP and the candidates for election to various positions in the CAP Board.
President Elect candidates: James Richard, Emily Volk and Tim Allen addressed the audience; Board of Governor candidatesJim Zhai and Mary Fowkes also spoke.
The Educational session was moderated by Anil Prasad, President-Elect AIPNA. There was an impressive line-up of speakers. Ritu Nayar, MD Professor and Vice Chair of Pathology, Northwestern University School of Medicine presented an interesting case of a paraganglioma, diagnosed on FNA, Megha Joshi, MD discussed the Milan System for reporting Salivary Gland FNA specimens and Shivayogi Bhusnurmath, MD spoke on Choosing Wisely, a timely topic for laboratory test utilization.
CAP President elect, Pat Godbey, CAP CEO Steve Meyer, Board of Governor members, Bharati Jhaveri, Nancy Young, Past President Richard Friedberg his wife Dianne Friedberg and CAP staff were in attendance.
Anil Prasad talked about AIPNA activities in 2018: Jordan IAP Conference, ASCP AIPNA conference, and AIPNA at Vancouver at USCAP, and AIPNA India Karad initiative. The photographs were impressive. To the Joy of all present, he announced two significant achievements by two of our very own AIPNA members: Megha Joshi being elected as CAP HOD Member-At-Large and Professor Bhusnurmath being nominated as Chair of the IAP Educational Committee.
